Persona In Meno
Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo
Three young curators—participants in Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo’s annual residency program —travelled through Italy for several months, meeting with artists, museum directors, critics, and gallerists. The result of this Grand Tour was “Persona in Meno”, a show in which Angelique Campens, Erica Cooke and Chris Fitzpatrick invited twenty-five Italian artists to address the mechanisms that define an “open-ended work”. Its title inspired by Pistoletto's “Minus Objects”—familiar objects that were taken out of their normal surroundings and put into an artistic context, to generate new frameworks of communication—the show, initially presented by Fondazione Sandretto in Guarene d’Alba, and later at Genoa’s Palazzo Ducale—features works that bring new stories to life, triggering an alchemical process of transformation. The catalogue includes texts by the curators, critical descriptions and photographic illustrations of the works by artists Meris Angioletti, Nico Angiuli, Lupo Borgonovo, Chiara Camoni, canecapovolto, Cristiano Carloni e Stefano Franceschetti, Manuele Cerutti, Andrea Contin, Nicolò Degiorgis, Federico Del Vecchio, Andrea De Stefani, Rä di Martino, Linda Fregni Nagler, Chiara Fumai, Alessandro Gagliardo, Giuseppe Lana, Renato Leotta, Eva Marisaldi, Andrea Nacciarriti, Nicola Nunziata, Alberto Scodro, Lorenzo Scotto di Luzio, Marinella Senatore, Alberto Tadiello, and Mauro Vignando.
